Whether you’re picking up a cue stick for the first time or you’re already sinking shots like a pro, our Billiards club welcomes players of all skill levels. We’re here to create a community where students can connect, share tips, coach and challenge each other in a supportive environment.
Our vision is to become the leading student billiards community in Texas.
We strive to inspire lifelong appreciation for billiards by creating an environment where every player feels valued, supported, and motivated to reach their full potential.

RANKING SYSTEM

Our competitive ladder where Class A and Class B players challenge each other twice a week to climb the ranks. With alternating challenge rights odd and even days with strict rescheduling rules, the system keeps matches fair, and active. At the end of the semester the Top 5 players will be crowned as Maverick Elite and will receive a gift!!

Highlights the most impressive C Class players. Like the Top Dawg Ranking, Top Rookie also plays twice a week with the same set of rules. At the end of the semester, the Top Rookie player will receive a gift and get the opportunity to move up to the Top Dawg ranking system next semester.

At the University of Texas at Arlington, the Mavericks Billiards Club hosts two kinds of tournaments that bring students together for competition and community:
These are monthly, UTA-students-only events designed to sharpen your skills, meet new players, and climb the campus ranks. They keep the fire of competition alive all semester long.
Open to students from all Texas schools. More than just a competition, this is a charity tournament benefiting Mission Arlington, where billiards players unite for a cause. Mark your calendars: our first Major Tournament kicks off on September 27, 2025.
